Anthrocon isn't happening this year. Just.. too many things came up, and it seemed like fate was really trying to make me not go! So... I dunno. I might try and make it down one day just to see some people I know, but otherwise, the rest is off.

I finished reading Fool's Fate last night.

Spent hours sobbing. I have no soul or heart left. None. Haven't had a book affect me like this in so many years.

I teared up during his oath and speech, lol. I would have cried but I tried to be more discreet since I was in the home of my boss watching with her family. I got choked up when he mentioned bringing back science, when he mentioned people of different creeds INCLUDING non-believers, when he mentioned that hsi father would have been refused service just 60 years ago.

I was upset by Rick Warren, though.

I rather liked Lowery,  though, if not just for the interesting challenge to my assumptions of his person that he gave me!

I want to cry. This is so much more than about Obama. I know as every politician does he will disappoint me. However, we can begin a track to recovering this country. And the biggest element will be the people. The people who sobbed in the rain at the Obama rallies, the 90 year old women who voted for the first time along with the 18-year olds. All the people who realized, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and made this victory possible.

Finally, maybe we can get back on the road to freedom, equality and dignity.

i'm not really doing anything, um, maybe on friday i think my parents and i are gonna go to mitchell's which is an awesomely amazing seafood restaurant and it's a bit expensive (not like... ridiculous just someplace you go once and MAYBE twice a year) but their food is to DIE FOR and yeah. also to get away from halloween because it depresses me and i don't like being harassed by 6' 25-year old men in no costume at all for candy 8|
